New York City! The city that wants to legalize all kinds of illegal drugs and needles, but wants to arrest you for selling a 32oz Big Gulp or drinking one!! NYC officials have been sniffing to much sewer gas!!

It looks like there will have to be a revolution in order to get the government out of our lives. Hate to even think that but one day it will have to happen.

WBBNC, the reason NY and NC have higher gas taxes is because of the State Dem Congress and governors. You know the old saying "Tax & Spend Democrats" and its the gospel truth.

There's the same situation in NC: SC has much lower gas price. It makes you think to move there for just that reason

Being on the West Coast, enduring the California and Nevada tax structures in combination, I would have to agree. Governmental taxation has a lot to do with the high fuel prices.

I don't mind zone pricing so much. That's capitalism. They're charging what the market will bear. If they thought they couldn't sell as much gas at that price, they would lower the price. I just get gas somewhere else if I think the price is too high. Fortunately the cheapest in town is usually the one near my house.
It seems to me the politicians are trying to deflect criticism away from themselves.

We aren't subjects and BO doesn't get to reward millions of illegal aliens for breaking laws without congressional approval. The "dream" (nightmare) act was already shot down. BO is just trying to find new voters after people are starting to wise up like in Wisconsin. Anyone else 2012!

Everything in NY is taxed to death and over priced. Why would you expect anything else from fuel?

Fox News reports that Governor of NY is seriously considering using his National Guard to invade neighbouring NJ because of gasoline tax difference.

NY always has a better idea. Now when the fuels are not available because they lose money, who will step in?
