"Customers for pickups above $40,000 are often hauling $300,000 trailers, boats, race cars, motorcycles, off-road vehicles or even horses." That sentence basically sums up many of the people buying these trucks. I'm not into fancy cars but a luxury truck seems much more practical than a similarly priced sports car. At least the truck can comfortably seat 5 people and have room in the back to make a Costco run.

Well....I can't say I'd buy a truck for $62,000. That's my opinion. I'm not all that picky either. As long as it's new, I'll drive my bride in the truck but I think if bought the truck for $62,000, I guess I just spent all my gas money too. :)

I totally agree; what a stupid concept. My F150 is a work truck — every heavy-duty option available and no frills like AC or electric windows.

Never ceases to amaze me. People will pay $40,000 for pick up truck. But won't pay 4 dollars a gallon for gas.

If you've got the money, and you want or need one... Why not? Someone is getting paid to design, to build, and to sell them.
I prefer regular SUV's, Wagons, and Hatchbacks. But if I found myself in my vehicle enough of the time that it became my home away from home. If I had the money I would buy a luxury vehicle. My needs would determine if it would be a luxury truck, luxury SUV, or a luxury car/wagon.
We need MORE prosperity. We need MORE success.

Obviously money is of little consequence to this small group.
Enjoy.

I can't imagine having all of that extra money to spend on a gigantic vehicle that gets poor gas mileage.

You can buy those things all you like, just don't complain when it comes time to fill them up. Big tanks and rising prices are an expensive mix.

Lots are full of nothing but. Can't even find a pickup with only 2 doors and a useful box. Definitely out of luck if you're looking for a small 4x4 pickup. They don't exist anymore.
